REMEMBER 3.11

REMEMBER 3.11

The 3 years ago,The TOHOKU area of JAPAN was struck by MEGA arthquake and TSUNAMI.

Many people were gone and they got hurt.

I am very sad.

At that time, Many Telephone and cellular phone were not able to use it.

Almost Infrastructure was gone.

I've heard the news that A few HAM RADIO STATION tried to help by HAM RADIO.

They helped to support emergency communication.

I thought that HAM RADIO is very great Communication system.

Actually,NEXT TIME, THE MEGA Earthquake and TSUNAMI will attack SIKOKU area of JAPAN as much as soon.

It called The NANKAI MEGA Earthquake. We are afraid it.

I live in SIKOKU area of JAPAN(KOCHI prefecture).

I've preparation to communicate of HAM RADIO .

The day before yesterday,

I tryed to communicate by HAM radio(7MHz) to communicate of emergency.

I sent cw by low TX power (5w), on QRV to check the condition of HF.

I was able to contact many HAM radio station.

THANKS YOU all stations.

NEXT time, it is my turn.

Hi MASA san !

Thank you very much for our contact on 40m band this afternoon.
It was a little bit hard condition but we made a first contact on air.

I went to 15m band in day time but condition of high band was not good.
So I was not able hear your signal.
I send CQ311 on 7.0031, 7.01311, 10.1311, 14.0311 and 21.1311 again and again. hihi

I think 30m band and 20m band were good for the distance 500km and 1000km today.
It is said the 30m band is good for domestic QSO in day time.
Are you QRV on 30m band?

Please call me, if you hear my call sign.

Hello Kiyo san!!
Thanks you nice QSO today.
I am happy to see you on the 7Mhz band by cw.
Actually, My 15m band antenna(DP) was broken by windstorm maybe last week.
The VSWR is higher than usually day. I measured it today.
Then I was not able to send CQ on the 15m band.
I am sorry.

Yes, 40m band was not good condition today.
Your signal was getting small .and with QSB.
I wanted to talk about HAM RADIO in English more.
I like English.
But I am not good at English. hihicoldsweats01

30m band is good band. I think.
I have a license that is professional.
I can QRV 30m(10MHz) and all bands.
But I don’t have 30m band(10MHz) antenna.
I will make a 30m DP antenna soon.
Then I will announcement you on my blog.

Please, QSO me on 30m band by English CW.

Thanks you kiyo san.
See you again next time on 30m band.

remembering 3.11 earth quake.

At the moment it occured, I was in my office (very Japanese style office, with so many desks in a single LARRRRRGE room), perhaps doing programming on my desktop PC.

I was born in Hokkaido, experienced big earth quake for a couple of times, maybe more. That made me calm at first when everything started to shake.

But that 311 earthquake was different from any of my previous experience, and I started to be anxious if that earthquake would ever stop to shake.

My office is in 17th floor -- I was at first trying to damp my PCs jump up from the desk, then tried to run to window side of the office room. to see what was going on outside.

I was only to find out that I couldn't walk only for a few meters.

At around 4pm, my company announced dismissing.

On my way back home, the only useful phone was Skype line, using Emobile routers. Docomo and softbank cell phone were out of order.
I scarcely made a call to my parents in Hokkaido that I was safe.

Days went by, and my next memory of that 311 earthquake is Yoshiko Tanaka, who might be famous for her first career as Candies member.

It was a shock that an ex-idol singer from my age would die that young, and was moved by her last recorded words.

Three years have past, and now I have started to feel like that that day was a long ago in a history...

After I have come back to Ham radio, I read at somewhere that AM radio broadcasting in "scheduled elec. power stop" area got almost no artificial noise when some guy tried a battery run receiver.

I don't want to go back to that inconvenient days, but it may be an experience to watch in a noise clean environment... if no one suffers.

just my 2yen worth foolish memories,

Nicky/JH8JNF
